Sooo... I read somewhere that Skyward Sword is going to depart from traditional overworld and dungeon exploring... This really scares me as a hardcore Zelda fan. Its like why mess with a good thing? I mean this may sound stupid but are they going to do away with dungeons all together or what? Lets hope not... oh and sorry if there is already a thread about this... I searched and couldn't find anything.
I've read a few interviews and they're not doing away with dungeons. They are just changing the formula of field, dungeon, field, dungeon, and blurring those boundaries.

You mean supposed hardcore Zelda fans just want to play the same game over and over again?
We'd still be playing 2D Zelda games if Nintendo didn't strive for (albeit limited) innovation!
I just wanted to make sure that they aren't going to do something drastic and cause the whole game to be bad... Here's an example. The Final Fantasy series has taken some different turns in the last few installments and I think most would agree that it has definitely been on a decline. It just scared me a little when I read that they are going to change it up a little but I'm sure they will keep fans satisfied.
