I never really got into the Gamecube too much, I was mainly a PS2 guy during that generation. However, I did really enjoy a couple games from the GC.
Mario Kart Double Dash was a Dorm Room staple where I went to college, there would be numerous times where there would be a big crowd in my buddy's room watching us play MKDD.
I also really liked Resident Evil 4 on the gamecube. I know that it has been spread throughout numerous platforms now, but those first few playthroughs on the GC were great. Even with all of this, I feel that the Wii version ended up passing the GC game in overall quality.
super mario Sunshine
Starfox Adventure (I hate it when people hate on a game for being different from its predeccesor's, this was my favorite adventure game last gen)
Sonic Adventure 2 Battle
The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker Super Smash Bros Melee The Legend of Zelda Twilight PrincessMUSH_IS_PWNs
no super smash otherwise melee would've beaten out Sonic for my top 3 :P
- Resident Evil 4 - Although I originally played it on PS2, it's just an awesome game, period. Much better than it's sequel, RE 5, even.
- Metroid: Prime - Atmospheric, errie, science-fictiony, VERY impressive graphics, and the link system with Metroid: Fusions was awesome. Metroid: Prime is an experience all it's own, even compared to it's predecessors in the series.
- Super Mario Sunshine - Underrated. I know this will sound like blasphemy to many, but I enjoy it more than Super Mario 64 even.

Resident Evil 4, Super Mario Sunshine andEternal Darkness
I agree with both of you, I absolutely loved Super Mario Sunshine. I too enjoyed this game more than Super Mario 64.

same here, it is honestly my current favorite 3D mario game, people always call it unpolished but realy I think it has some of them ost gorgeous water effects and character models I'd seen last generation.
hell,, the water itself stiill holds up really well today.
I'll go with Wind Waker, Animal Crossing, and Paper Mario TTYD.
That said, I own the Wii versions of Twilight Princess, Resident Evil 4, and Metroid Prime Trilogy. Otherwise the list may have been a bit different. And Smash Bros definitely would have been top 3 if it was allowed. :P

I think for me it's the controller more than anything. I absolutely despise the N64 controller and find it awkward for any game. I will bear through for N64 classics, though. The Gamecube controller just felt so much more natural and comfortable for me to control Mario with.
The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker
Resident Evil 4
F-Zero GX
Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2 Echoes would be here if you allowed up to five :P.
