Hello there Nintendo fans in Game Discussion board!
What's your personal favourite game for Nintendo Switch?
My favourite is Fire Emblem Warriors.
So I didn't fall in love with Super Mario Odyssey as much as most, And The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is interesting but also felt shallow. Smash Bros Ultimate was also disappointing because I wanted to play a lot online. . And it's just not good, a service we now pay for.
If I don't count rereleases or ports, probably Splatoon 2. Which is slightly shocking because I sold my WiiU shortly after buying the original Splatoon and giving up with the console. The online is fantastic, rarely have issues, community is great and friendly, always fun to jump-in.
If we count re-releases? Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Makai Senki Disgaea Refine and Katamari Damashii. Runner-up Bayonetta 2, which is great. But not even in my top 5 H&S games.
I'm hoping Pokémon: Shield, Super Mario Maker 2, and Animal Crossing change my perspective. Because right now when offline I just sigh at my Switch and get out my 3DS as my preferred travel gaming system.
My favourite Switch game so far has been The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. There’s been a few other games that I would rank very high as favourites of mine as well such as:
- Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
- Super Mario Odyssey
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
- Xenoblade Chronicles 2
- Octopath Traveler
- Bayonetta 2
It should be noted that there are some games that I have yet to get that I think would also rank very high on my favourites list like:
- New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe
- Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
- Yoshi’s Crafted World
In this very order my favorite Switch games:
@RSM-HQ: right? Hope it will change soon. I even had to break my "no indies" rule to get some enjoyment. Anyhow is splatoon fun? Tried the special demo back in march and not enjoyed the game.
I usually like a good Indie game but I've bought most on either PS4 and/or P.C.
Splatoon has one feature that usually makes or breaks peoples interest. And that's aiming is entirely motion control, no exceptions. If you can get past that hurdle it's one of the best competitive Arena shooters on the market. And that's coming from someone who plays a lot of the latest Quake game. May start jarring but makes aiming as responsive and quick as using a mouse.
Also features a cooperative horde mode called Salmon Run, which I continue to have a lot of fun with. Tons of content, tons of people play it. Online is the best Switch has to offer.
