Your favorite castlevania game?

Castlevania 1 and 4. 3 was great too. I haven't played the new ones...

Sorry for not being original but I'll have to say SOTN. I've played a lot of the others and none of them, no matter how good they are, could surpass SOTN.

My runners up would be:

-Castlevania

-Castlevania IV

-Castlevania Harmony ofDespair (kind of a weird one but awesome none the less ;P)

Also, I can't get enough of this game series OST :D (Heart of Fire, Bloody Tears, Ruined Castle Corridor, etc.)

My first favorite has to be Super Castlevania IV only because I grew up with it, I can beat it without dying up to the frakenstein stage, and the music I love it.

But Castlevania Symphony of the Night I just got to recently played it and it is up top where Super Castlevania IV is at because it wowed me :D

Those are my top 2. Castlevania 64 was good to for me though. Not my favorite, not the worst.

Gotta go with Rondo of Blood. That game was basically the transition between the older platformer style of Castlevania games and the newer "Metroidvania" style games. I remember chatting with some Konami of America guys about Rondo back in 1998 (when I got my copy) who had never had a chance to play it. I'm pleased that its now much easier to get a copy (legally) of that game to play. It really is an amazing game.

Both symphony of the Night and Lament of Inncence, they were both amazing games

I'm going with the crowd on this one. Symphony of the Night was spectacular.

SOTN. It's one of my favorite games, and the soundtrack is particularly memorable. I also really liked Dracula X Chronicles (2.5D Rondo of Blood) and Aria of Sorrow.

On a side note, I just learned from his review yesterday that Mark from C-l-a-s-s-i-c Game Room on YouTube is also a Castlevania II fan.

Glad to know I'm in good company here. Recently got a PSP and I'm looking forward to sitting down with Rondo of Blood, which I've actually never played.:oops: So much has been said about this game so I'll be anxious to see where it ends up in the running.

I started to like these series when I gotCastlevania: Harmony of Dissonance8 years ago, so, yeah, it's probably my fav.
