Don't you hate when people say that to you?

ya know there really isnt a definition of a "true gamer" but heres some good guidelines if they help any:

you might be a gamer if:

you have a gaming history going back at leats as far as the late 1990's

you can list significant games from then to present and have al least tried to play them once.

you still play video games regularly

and if u have some oldschool titles helps too.

if they claim you arent for some other reason its because there not sure extactly either but just like dissing ppl.

It's never been said to me, I find it weird if someone did. Isn't gaming suppose to be looked at as socially inadequate? Isn't that what all the trendy people say, so isn't it like a compliment? Or did it get spoken to you when you was as a nightclub, and the girl threw the contents of her glass of Archers in your face, then your black buddy in all his bling comes up to you and says "Yo, you ain't no gamer dog!"

Do you own a video game console? Yes/No

Do you discuss games on a forum specifically created to discuss gaming? Yes/No

If you answered yes to two of these, I can say with reasonable confidence that you are a gamer.

Anyone who claims you aren't obviously has too much time on his hands and should be grappling with the more pressing issue of why girls still won't talk to him.

I couldn't care less. I don't play games to PROVE something to someone, I play them because they are a form of entertainment. Anyone who takes gaming seriously is just silly.

Not really, I just laugh and get on with my life.

No one has said that to me, and I certainly hope no one would, considering I have played more games than probably 95% of students in my high school.

I am a hardcore gamer, I play video games alot, as it is my main hobby, I have owned many consoles and handhelds in my time, one of which is the Wii, and my library of Wii games mostly consists of "hardcore" titles, 10 out of 13 are hardcore to be exact. There are more games on the Wii that are considered "hardcore" that I am looking forward to buying in the future, as well.

Going by your logic, I would be a casual gamer, which considering how much time I put into gaming, and my considering my game collection, is most certainly false.

i usually just tell them about my 300+ game collection. then i respond with your not a gamer compared to me. that usually shuts them up.

i get it all the time from my mates and i have and completed more games than they have like sf4, kz2 n cod i have recantly traded in cod cuz i got board of it after all the time i played and ever since ive been called sad not a proper gamer cuz i dnt play cod anymore n i meen its a great game but i just whanted to try a different vatiaty thats all. just bought sega collection n that is a classic gamejacko-147

Nah, no-one has ever said anything like that to me. They all know I love games. If soemone did say that, well...I would'nt mind

cause I am a true gamer, I study, play, help, share info and research. That is a true gamer. So I know I am, so their wrong.:evil:
