Xbox owners: How is Rise of the tomb raider?

I know it was released first on xbox one and its now finally coming to the playstation 4 october 11 which im happy about cause I'm only a playstation gamer just wondering how is the story and gameplay and graphics. I been holding off watching reviews cause i knew it was coming to PS4. As a huge fan of the reboot in 2013, im very excited about playing this.

I found it to be an excellent. If you enjoyed the reboot then you'll most likely enjoy this one as well.

If you played Tomb Raider 2013 then you should already have a good idea how it plays. Platforming is generally the same but they made some vast improvements. Larger levels with plenty reasons to backtrack, a wide selection of things to unlock, larger tombs to raid and tougher puzzles.

Also added a new weapon crafting system very much like the one in Last of Us that lets you craft healing items, bombs and even arrows. Except Lara doesn't need the backpack. But there is alot of resource gathering like Last of Us. You can also use and sometimes are forced to use Lara's bow and arrow to create perch points to climb.

It's a great game I think. If you enjoyed Last of Us and Uncharted then you'll definitely like Rise of the Tomb Raider. And with the new crap coming to the ps4 version, you'll get even more content like a special zombie mode that takes place in Lara's creepy ass mansion.

I wouldn't go so far as to call it excellent. It certainly on-par with 2013 TR.

I'd say RotTR is 2 steps forward, 1 step back.

@thelastofusfanboy89: If you loved Tomb Raider (2013), you'll love ROTTR.

I´m no self entitled game conoisseur, I found it to be excellent, better than the previous 2013 TR game.

I enjoyed RotR more than Uncharted 4. Don't get me wrong, U4 is gorgeous and superior artistically from a world and story standpoint, but RotR is just more fun to play. It's easier than U4, particularly because of the various arrows and the more arcadey gun physics, but it's much better paced with rewarding exploration.

If you played 2013 tomb raider you will like it. It basically plays the same but is better in just about every way.

I must be the only one that enjoyed 2013 Tomb Raider than Rise of the tomb raider

It´s a ok game nothing more nothing less.

If you have a few extra bucks and can get it on sale, it´s a worth a buy.

I adored the reboot. Haven't played this one yet but glad to hear it's more of the same - which CAN be a good thing!

it is one of the most forgettable games i've ever played.There isn't a single thing i can remember about it.

I paid 35euro for it on pc and still felt ripped off.I wouldn't even imagine paying full price.

I'm still trying to play the first TR game on Xbox One, but to make room for Gears 4 I had to delete it. :(

Also I would say this, the overall adventure itself isn't AS epic as Uncharted 4 so don't play it under Uncharted 4 standards.

It is very similar to the 2013 version in terms of gameplay but the story-line is not quite as good (IMO)...

Still worth it though

if you liked the reboot, you will love this newest one. All of the suspense, the "new" amazing-as-ever Lara, the evil villain/s...all there.

the reboots have totally caught me off guard, I could not be happier with how they turned out. Quite honestly one of the best video games heroes, male or female, in the past few years (yes I know Lara Croft the character is almost two decades old at this point, but this newest iteration is just amazing).

Whats the gameplay length? How long will it take you to get through? is it longer or shorter than the 2013 reboot. i hope bout the same cause 2013 reboot was the perfect length for a game imo
