Will there ever be a MMO like WOW?

World of Warcraft is a juggernaut of MMO's and many companies have given up on competing with that genre, but that one game is kinda boring me I want a choice between MMO's not just any MMO's ones with millions of people on them. Have you heard of any news regarding a company working to compete with WOW?

WoW is anything but sucky.

In terms of quality and depth Star Wars Galaxies Pre-CU was far and away a better game than WoW. The learning curb was so steep that it turned off alot of casual players though. When I got 4/4/4/4 Jedi Gaurdian and would sit in starports with my tag up waiting for PVP to find me noobs would send me /tells all the time asking me how I got Jedi and how long it took. When I told them it took me over a year to get jedi, and 6 months to grind it to full template most of them told me to get a life and that they weren't going to play the game anymore...

That of course is why the game is what it is today.

I think the original Everquest was as big as WoW. It's a shame that its dying so slowly now. That used to be the juggernaut of the day. Morphic

Age of Conan might be... but i'm not really counting on a longterm "fun" game here
