Well it'd be hard to top the Playstation 3 and Xbox360 and Wii so if they brought one out
it probably would'nt live up to the bigger companys like Sony. Though that is a good and
interesting question though. I'll try and keep u updated about an Apple Console releasing.
Only if one of the current companies stop making consoles.
I don't think there's room for 4 consoles in the market, although with this new uprising in casual gaming I may just be wrong. Apple already have a widespread popularity with the general community so maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea.
I wouldn't buy it though. :P
well microsoft has one why not apple will they ever make a gaming system, Do yoy think they will make a kick ass Gaming system oto compete with the 360?Thetoiletguy911Please don't encourage them. Why would you want one anyway? I certainly hope you have a better reason then "because its Apple". There is no room for a console from Apple. We already have the Mac, PC, X-Box, Wii, Playstation, DS, PSP, and various cell phones. If that isn't enough for you then I don't know what to say.
If they do, it better have that sweet apple logo on it.
And for 1,500$ im gonna want multicolored LEDS on that sucker. Maybe some diamonds, too.
It'd be frustrating to play a game with that click wheel, wouldn't it?
Honestly though, I certainly hope they don't. With 3 consoles and 2 handhelds it is frustrating enough to keep track of games coming out and shelling out the money to get them. Add another console to the mix and it becomes even more of a disaster. 3 comapnies that make consoles is more than enough as far as I'm concerned.
If Apple ever does release another game console it'll probably be a slender, milky white box with a gigantic eye in the center a la the Xbox gem. Why would it have an eye? Name one Apple product that doesn't.
It would also probably cost twice as much as the competition, be half as powerful, and all the games would be downloaded from iGames and would come with strict DRM software embedded in them.
In the future, if the downloading of games becomes the way to commercialize them, then it would be possible not only for Apple, but other companies as well to enter the market. Until that happens, i don´t see possible new players on the field.
Actually, you can play a DVD in thousand of different machines, but xbox´s games only in the 360, play3 games in play3 console, and wii games on the wii. If the format doesn´t unified, then it´s difficult for others to interfere.
But, if game companies sell a game on the web, and every machine could download it, then you can have a lot of consoles, and buy the one you like.
Maybe.
