I sure do. One of the first things that came to my mind when this gen started was that one day Duck Tales (NES) would get re-released.
I figured Nintendo would have brought it out on their VC, but it's looking very bleak now.

It's too bad because I remember this as one of the greatest games on the NES era.

Has anyone else played this seemingly forgotten gem?

One of my favorite games as a kid. The music is fantastic and it's a lot of fun overall. I'd love to see it on the VC.

Amazing platformer. I'm surprised it was never released on Virtual Console.

I was just playing DuckTales last weekend. Game still holds up strong. Definitely one of my favorite games for the NES.

My two favorite games pretty much on the NES were Duck Tales and Chip n' Dale Rescue Rangers. Awesome games!

Those games were great. I also liked the Darkwing Duck and Rescue Rangers games on the NES.

Started playing this a few months back, a re-released would be a nice idea if they don't give the game a complete make-over and just release it in HD for systems like PSN/Xbox Live.

This is one of the greatest game released on the NES. It stands shoulder-to-shoulder alongside classics like Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, and Castlevania. Absolutely top-notch game, and one of Capcom's crowning achievement's on the NES. It's not an expensive or rare game though, so anyone with an NES should be able to acquire a copy relatively easily.

DuckTales 2 (also NES) is an elusive gem that I would MUCH rather see get a re-release.

I missed out on DT2 completely back then, wasn't really aware of its existance. Things were different back then though.
Usually I didn't know what was even out until I went to the store. No internet and magazines were expensive for a 9 year old.

This game would've been a childhood-favorite had I bought the Gameboy version of it. But my kid self back then preferred Mortal Kombat over it (which, looking back, is a terrible terrible port).

Still, I loved the cartoon all the same and got to play the game when I was older. This was back when cartoon/animated feature licensed games were either amazingly fun or just good with barely any mediocrocity (sp?). It wouldn't be the same even if re-made IMO.

I think it depends on how its done. When there's a complete remake of a game, I never seem to be happy with it (nor do most). Anytime a classic keeps the exact same gameplay but ONLY receives graphical make-up, critics tear it apart saying it just doesn't stand the test of time. My own personal opinion: I prefer just the graphical make-up, because I'm kinda tired of gaming companies ruining once what was a great classic, leaving us with a bad taste of a typical half-arsed effort. :(
