Which one do you prefer and why? I want to know your opinion.

Vehicular combat.

I miss games like Interstate 76 and the criminally overlooked MMO Auto Assault.

Racing, like the early Dirt games (I didn't like Dirt 5 at all). Forza and Gran Turismo are good, too. Vehicular combat is OK if we're counting Mario Kart. It's just not my cup of tea.

I'm with @girlusocrazy: Both is the best answer.

I was in high heaven years ago when we got Split/Second, Blur, and Motorstorm Apocalypse all in rapid succession. Unfortunately, they bombed hard and killed the genre, at least among AAA publishers.

I would say racing. I don’t like vehicle combat.

Both. I like some combat in my racing games.
