They unlikely willing for another Marvel property. As it's known Insomniac Games don't like doing licensed titles. Spider Man was a big exception because the studio loves that particular character, events, and villain backlog. You'll all be lucky if they care to do a Spider Man 2.
And I think that's something many are overlooking.
If it turned out as good as Spider-Man, I don't think they could go wrong with any of the main characters. Iron Man, Cap, Thor, Hulk, etc. could all provide some unique fun.
Anyone remember Marvel: Ultimate Alliance last gen? That game was SO MUCH FUN, even though the graphics weren't even that good for the time. If they could update a game like that and have the characters powers play off each other. Go around in a group of 4 where you get to pick your team and switch between the characters at any time, yes please! A nice open world game like Spider-Man, too? That could be AMAZING.
Yeah. Maybe they think, enough of this fame and money, lets go back to MS!
Didn't know Ratchet and Clank was Microsoft, but you're the wise one around here Henry.
Sunset Overdrive. And before that they did Fuse with EA. It's been a long road since they stopped being a de facto Sony first party.
Wanting freedom and actually getting it are funny things. Like when Bungie wanted a break from Halo and went off with Activision do a game about super powered space soldiers fighting aliens...you know, for a change of pace.
Who knows how Insomniac feels about things, but at some point they have to look at the difference between what they've accomplished with more freedom (games that few played) and what they've accomplished with Sony and decide whether it makes more sense to be who they are or who they want to be.

Spoiler alert!
The ending pretty much hinted at a sequel
@sakaixx: Could just be DLC, don't get your hopes too high.
if its a 5 hours dlc I am good then. But do doubt they want to just skim this one into the $25 DLC, since it involve a really major character in peter's life and the venom symbiote
@sakaixx: I don't follow Spider Man or what you just mentioned in the spoiler tag. But if you think it is something too big for DLC? You're probably right considering the only thing here I follow is Insomniac. And they tend not to do much DLC.
However even if a sequel would be considered, who is to say Insomniac won't just move on as they always do, and Sony gives it to some crappy developer like Sumo Digital?

Because Insomniac may be signed on with Sony & Marvel for a number of sequels. I mean they are confident enough to put that big reveal at the end of the Spiderman game.
Also pretty sure Insomniac worked on like 10 ratchet & Clank games across 4 PlayStation consoles, not really moving on.
@sakaixx: Ratchet & Clank is Insomniacs creation and IP of choice, as stated they're far less interested in making licensed games and have expressed such in SM interviews.
We won't know if they're going to straight away work on a SM2 unless we see it revealed in the near future, but based on the company I think we're more likely to see a R&C or an original IP game. They may put more resources in that Stormland VR game.
@sakaixx: Not sure why your argument is of relevance, Sony also own God of War, and Uncharted yet only let the created developers handle the mainline games. Spin-offs that saw release on PSP and Vita are hardly a good argument.
Last R&C game was still developed by Insomniac Games, after the release of Sunset Overdrive.
Ignoring the TROLL, I'd say the Punisher. THOR is too much like God of War. Iron Man is some billionaire and I'd prefer to play a poor guy who has skills and wants revenge. THE PUNISHER is my vote for this OP that is relevant and not a troll response.
Iron Man. Would just be so much fun upgrading the suit and flying around all over the place. I don't see that happening though (I don't really see any of these happening) so I would choose Punisher as my second choice.
@RSM-HQ: Not sure why you think it's unlikely that they'll make another Marvel game. It's already confirmed that the MGU (Marvel Gaming Universe) will be a thing.
I don’t see this Marvel Gaming Universe happening like a lot of cows here seem to be hyping.
Spider-Man was great, and I’d like to see Insomniac make another Spider-Man game. Outside of that, don’t really care.
Iron Man is the only acceptable answer.
(Punisher would be cool though. Fighting both heroes and villains)
I'd definitely like to see an Iron Man game done well but it couldn't be restricted to one open world city like Batman or Spider-Man. It would almost have to be a game with different destinations like Destiny or Warframe.
Punisher would be good but I can't imagine it being anything other than a third or first person shooter
I don't care as long as the character can cruise around fast. winging, surfing on ice or webs or gadgets whatevs...
*then the biggest thing is original story!
I was sooo offended & disappointed by Rocksteady using the red Hood story for the final Arkham game.
So a fresh story is a must for me..
***Would love anything set in the future w/ some heroes becoming villains & vice versa
and their children etc...Daredevil is interesting because he is agile & has unique senses.
but he is blind!

@loyngulpany: I just read the article and when they use the term "basically confirmed" that means it's not actually confirmed. It all appears taken out of context. And wouldn't surprise me if eventually Bryan Intihar has to clarify that himself due to harassment.
Not trying to down optimism for future games, but media and certain sites have a habit of stretching words in whatever way they can so people checkout bad clickbait. It has been this way for awhile now because it simply pays the bills and invites sponsorships, at the cost of being a creditable site.
I agree with people who noticed Hulk. I would like to play a game with this character.
Why he is so unpopular? =)
