I loved Final Fantasy X-2 for it's music (don't laugh, I like J-pop)
Final Fantasy X had one of my favorite music of all time (Suteki Da Ne)
Kingdom Hearts is another game that had my favorite music of all time (Hikari)
Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, Final Fantasy Tactics, an Secert of Mana all had great sound track.
The Castlevania and Final Fantasy series have cranked out great music for years. I have several of the soundtracks.
And for whomever mentioned Advent Rising, I have to agree. It has one of the best soundtracks I've heard in years. Yet another aspect of one of the most underrated games I've played.
Final Fantasy has some really good music. And Shadow of the colossus has one of the best opening scores ever.
FFX, Shadow of the collossis and God of War, I liked all of those soundtracks, oh and guitar hero of course.
Prince of Persia: Sands of time.
By far, it was so atmospheric and so with the mood of the game, nothing compares.
I would play to get to a certain point, just to hear the music.
Legend of Zelda games in general have fantastic synthesizer tunes/orchestrations.
(most of it is midi/sythesizer)
