Which game would you play?

Torchlight is good but PoE is better IMO

Out of those I would go with Torchlight.

Haven't played any and unlikely to (perhaps Monster Hunter takes too much time away from experimenting more?)

I know someone close who has sunk a lot of time into Path of Exile, which from my understanding is just a better Diablo game than recent Blizzard offers. Shame I never cared much for Diablo, and my main Diablo 'clone' growing-up was in my opinion a better paced experience 'Champions of Norrath'.

For those old DOS P.C. games I much preferred Dungeon Keeper. And War for the Overworld is a game to keep in mind for a modern homage to Bullfrog's classic series EA ran into the gutter.
