Is it just me, or has PC FPS games hit a HUGE slump?!!
I know MOH: Airborne is coming out this year. But what are the big anticipated FPS titles coming out this year?
Anything? Please let know, this could be a sad year :(

I don't know what you're talking about, since there are a ton of shooter coming this year, and probably more next....
2007 PC FPS:
Crysis
Bioshock (FPS / RPG hybrid)
Team Fortress 2
Half Life 2: Episode Two
Enemy Territory: Quake Wars
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Unreal Tournament 3
Left 4 Dead
Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway
Clive Barker's Jericho
Medel of Honor: Airborne
Call of Juarez
I've yet to try it out for myself, but S.T.A.L.K.E.R. seems like a fresh outlook on the genre. Last year was surprisingly disappointing for PC first-person shooters, but with BioShock, The Orange Box, and Crysis, 2007 seems spectacular.

I've heard S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is a great game.....just know you have to have a pretty solid rig to run it smoothly, also, don't expect much in the story department.
But in terms of a free-roaming FPS that allows for exploration, I hear its great and one of the best FPS releases in a while.
Agreed, STALKER is a good game, and different than run of the mill FPS games. But it definately didin't add up to what it was suppose to be (you can read countless posts on this). I was into it for a week, but then got bored with it and didn't even finish the game, and deleted it from my HD.
Now I just play Battlefield 2142, getting owned, waiting for the next GREAT game.....sigh.....

I have a more than capable PC, and GSC already released two patches that resolve a large number of bugs. I don't know when I'll get the game, but I'm definitely going to check it out. What interests me most about it is the open-ended structure, chilling post-apocalyptic atmosphere, and the supposedly amazing A.I.
Yeah, again...its a good game. I was the game was truely open-ended and non-scripted to a point. There are still load times between zones. But the atmosphere is very well played out! I've jumped a couple times when playing at night.
All-in-all, i'd wish for a game EXACTLY like Oblivion but with guns, etc.
I wouldn't say it's in a slump. Halo 2 was just released with Windows Live and it's like the best FPS game of all time! What more do people friggin want?! :(PikaPichu
Non vista version with better graphics?
As a BF2 player, I hope Quake Wars is any good.
 i laughed when i saw this topic. i wish game developers would cut down on the amount of FPS games. but hey, people seem to like their generic shooters, so as long as people keep buying them developers wil keep making themdante_123456
And your point is? I'm just as baffled as how people still buy the same old JRPGS that keep coming.
