When you buy a console, do you keep it's original box and everything in it?

I try to these days. But as a kid I really wish I took that into consideration. I guess you don't care for those things growing up.

As of right now I have the boxes for the Switch & New 3DS XL. I'd really wish I kept the box for my PSP 3000 though.

Considering buying a PS4 Pro around Christmas seeing as the one I'm currently using has seen better days. I'll give my old one to my dad.

Yes, because like the WiiU depending how I value what it's offering and functionality quality, may get traded in at somepoint. WiiU may as well have been called my Donkey Kong and Bayonetta machine_

Better condition, better the return value.

@RSM-HQ: You like Tropical Freeze right? I gotta play that sometime. I have the original Donkey Kong Country Returns on Wii. Never invested too much time into it though. It was good from what I played.

Not only do I consider Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze a must play for those that like 2D Platformers. It's also my favorite Nintendo developed game in well over a decade.

Yeah I keep the boxes and stuff for my systems. I don’t sell them or trade them in anymore but it is nice to pack them into the box when I need to put them away.

@ezekiel43: I agree even though I like to keep the boxes and what not. They are a hindrance to space though.

I keep the box so I can move it back and forth between places. But I will probably have to get some kind of carry case because the PS4 box is flimsy, compared to the PS3 box.

@DEVILinIRON: Yeah I can tell they’ve cut the costs for those kinds of things. The fat PS2 Box was pretty sturdy from what I remember.

Always. I keep less used consoles on their original boxes. I still got the boxes for me PS1 consoles, for example, and all the rest.

If you keep that junk in better condition you can trade at a higher value and buy more games for other systems.

I like games too.

Since the PS2 / Game Cube I always kept the box.

It is less shitty when you move to a different house or apartment.

And if you ever sell it , well you may get more just because of that

I wish I did. I just have all my old systems, games and accessories piled into 3 or 4 cardboard boxes in my garage.

@Solaryellow: Lol! Dedication. I think I’ve also done that with the mini classic consoles.

It’s a good habit. If you ever need to sell your consoles, better to put it in its original box

I have all of my system boxes back to the PS2 and Dreamcast era. I have all my manuals and inserts going back to the NES era. I did used to have all of my game boxes from back then as well but my stepfather did me a solid and tossed all of my boxes one day when I was away. Good times.

I don’t have my boxes on display yet but I do go down and rummage through them from time to time.

Nope, not enough space or art appeal of the box.

I do keep the boxes for my video cards. Buyers like the original boxes.

@Gaming-Planet: Yeah what you said about the art appeal is very true. Especially for newer consoles. The boxes look simplified these days.

I think you should keep the boxes, consoles and most of the games. These things should be preserved.

I keep everything including the plastic ties and the plastic thingy that goes over the plug..!!!

I get a lot of satisfaction from having everything in it's place especially old stuff like my PS1.. ;)
