Action RPG - Diablo
Old-school WRPG (or however you want to call it) - Planescape: Torment
Euro RPG - Divine Divinity
MMORPG - World of Warcraft
Bastion- Has one of the best difficulty systems (The Shrine) in anygame, let alone an RPG.... Left 4 Dead's AI Director can go suck it !
Trine 2, Actual differences between Classes more evident un gameplay than some numbers on a page... And awesome Progression System based on actuall mechanics, and again, not some dumb numbers on a page.
None of them have grinding, although the combat does Suck donkey balls.
Heavy Rain- Best RPG Ever !
@Lulu_Lulu I'd argue that Trine 1 is superior... just because of the novelty factor, oh, and Tower of Sarek :D
Still, probably the best coop series I ever played, especially in local multiplayer

I haven't played Trine1 yet, had a blast with Trine 2 complete edition. So you saying Trine 1 is more fun than Trine 2 ?

Can't say for single player, but multiplayer-wise it was definitely more fun for me and my friends, yeah. Especially the insanity on the final stage, worth playing just for that

I played only the single player for Trine 2 as none of my freinds had it then on steam. Will definately give Trine 1 it a try next time i find it on steam sale :)
@indzman
He'd saying whichever Trine you play 1st is the one you'l like.... Thats pretty much how the Novelty Factor works.....
Same applies to Bioshock and Bioshock 2 and Arkham City and Arkham Origins.
Oh!
Well yeah... but I/we still loved Trine 2; the original is worth playing through nonetheless
@indzman
Yep..... You can't have two 1st times...... Of the same thing.... Rapture can only be new once..... This is what brought on the abomination known as Bioshock Infinite, it was a way to try and be Renovelize rapture without being rapture.....

I enjoyed Infinite more than Bio 1 and 2 :(
@sukraj
True Dat... One should never assume they got this place figured out.... Always expect the worst.
You two talking badly of my clone friend?
JRPG: Chrono Trigger and FF6.
W-Like JRPG: Dark Souls 1 and 2
WRPG: Fallout and Witcher 1 and (still playing) maybe 2
So many that I enjoyed it's too difficult to pick a favourite. Some of my favourites are:
Whoa, NIER is on that list. I like this clone. Aside from NIER, my other favorites are mass effect 1, fable 2....thats about it. RPGs tend to be my least favorite genre and I prefer them to be story driven, because gameplay tends to feel bland across them all for me (I'm not big on customization/leveling up). However, there are still many RPGs I look forward to playing, like plansscape torment, shin megami tensei nocturne/strange journey, final fantasy vi, xenogears.
Mass Effect, Fallout 3, Morrowind, Dragon Age Origins, Skyrim, Dark Souls, Fable 2, and Kingdoms of Amalur, Two Worlds 1&2.
My Favorite game of all Time is Final Fantasy VII.
Other turn based RPG's I love are
Lost Odyssey
Chrono Cross
Final Fantasy IV
Pokemon Red
South Park Stick Of Truth
Divinity Original Sin
And other RPG games that are not turn based
Skyrim
Mass Effect
Dues Ex Human Revolution
Fallout Vegas
I prefer turn based RPG games
