whats the first game you ever played

First I actually remember playing is Super Mario Brothers on the NES, although I had Pong, Atari, and Intellevision growing up... so it was probably another title.... wait I remember an Atari game where food flew at you and you had to eat blue pickles I believe (awesome game... lol)... damn can't remember the name... anyways, those are the first two I was old enough to remember :)

I think it was Sonic the Hedgehog but it's possible I played other games before I got my Mega Drive as a kid, I just don't remember.

-edit- I just remembered my sister had a Commodore 64 so I would have played something on that first, though I have no idea what it would have been.

If i remember correctly, it was Kirby Superstar on the SNES. I simply adored that game as a child. :)

I think it was either Wonder Boy for the Sega Entertainment System or Afterburner..

Soon following that I got a SNES and GBC and it just kept getting more and more fun.

Ice climbers at my cousins house! it was the first time I saw a gaming console and a game it was freaking epic as hell!

For me, it was "SAFARI HUNT" on the Sega Master System.

I went to my dad's for the weekend (divorced) and he had given his son from his second marriage (my step-brother Mike) a Sega Master System for his birthday. We sat there and played the Safari Hunt/Hang On cartridge for hours.LOL, funny story too, because I got in trouble for"breaking hiscontrol paddle", though it was really just that I snapped off that damned flimsy stickyou could skrew into the d-pad.

Anyhow, it turned out okay, because I went home andtold my mom that dad had bought the SMS formy step brother, andnot to be outdone, off we went tothe store to buy me a system (I chose NES instead)

No, that wasn't it, but that is an awesome game as well :) I'll keep looking... I have been wondering about this game for several years, so I'll do some research and post back when I find it.

Sonic 2 on the Sega Genesis. That's what I always say anyways. We had a big box of Genesis games, and I don't know which one I played first. But the one I played most was Sonic 2.
