I’m sure this question has been asked a bit. But for you completionists, what’s the most amount of hours you’ve put into a game...? Roughly.

And, what’s one you wouldn’t dare try to 100%?

I do like to 100% most games if it doesn’t call for heavy amounts of grinding and is achievable enough.

(I wouldn’t dare try to 100% something like a Final Fantasy game or complete the Pokédex from start to present.)

More recently, A Hat in Time was honestly the perfect length for me.

I completed it in the span of 2 days...(You could easily do it in one sitting.)

The only time piece I missed was the one in the ship up by the slide.

I tend to dislike games that are jam packed with post-game stuff...

I got 237 hours on Sleeping Dog the original Steam version that you can't buy anymore since the definitive edition came out with no DLC added I have replayed that game once a year at least since it's release in 2012.

I'm sure F.E.A.R. is my most replayed game retail version and later the Steam version with the expansion packs I don't have any numbers on the retail game but I'm sure it's well over 500 combine.

@speeny:

I’m sure this question has been asked a bit

Can't think of this exact question so don't worry about it, especially on GD I don't recall it coming up; and usually the question is what game have returned to the most, or had the most playthroughs.

However this is more raw hours. And is probably Monster Hunter games, and the hours are in the hundreds.

Followed with Little Big Planet and Tekken series which was also probably at least two hundred each entry from LBP/LBP2-T5/DR/T6/BR/TTT2. Not including LBP3 or T7, because they both kinda went a direction I wasn't happy with.

@RSM-HQ: I’m afraid to touch Monster Hunter. Lol

As for Tekken...the PS1 games were great but I remember playing Tekken 4 on the PS2 the most. 5 I couldn’t stand.

Probably a racing game like Forza Horizon 3 or Forza Motorsport 6/7.

Although I did play a lot of Civ 5 back when I had a gaming PC years ago.

Monster Hunter is a game series with a lot of layers and not easily mastered but the game doesn't exactly start off difficult or expect you to know everything. And with an extra friend or three, it's a very positive vibed game. Not the easiest games but I enjoy them a lot.

For Tekken I'm a bit younger than the known PSOne generation so going back was like playing a much worse game in my experience. I like a lot of retro games but Tekken has come a long way with T6 and TTT2 being two of my favorite games in existence. Tekken 5 was a mixed bag but find Dark Resurrection fixed a lot of the issues in T5.

I forgot about LBP so changed my post abit anyway; guess LBP3 made me almost forget the series entirely lol. What a terrible game that is. . .

I've played 15 days on Battlefield 1. That's got to be the most.

Edit: Oh yeah I played WoW for a while so that might be the most.

oh no sadly, i put 100 % to all pokemon gen games :(

i like completing games whether these games are small or big :) i give 100 % always as the developer give their too in developing the game :( right now it's almost a month since im playing this game called "Return of Warrior" hahaha and since its a big game, i cant finish it that fast

and btw finish in my vocabulary means being able to meet all things in the game, for games that has no endings, but for games that has endings of course being able to play the post game is the finish line <3

Flight Simulator X, the original Microsoft version.

The Reset Outpost mode of Far Cry 3 and 4. Until summer of last year, I played both games daily for at least an hour or two since their original release dates.

Right now, it's Call of Chernobyl which is itself a standalone mod based on the STALKER: Call of Pripyat Engine. It goes on forever in free-roam mode.

I've got more than 500 hours on Left 4 Dead 2. It was one of the first Steam games I ever bought. As for single player games, Skyrim has the top spot with 300 hours. I consider this time well spent.

About two thousand hours in Skyrim, probably the same in Fallout 4 at this point. Also spent from hundreds to over a thousand hours in previous Fallout and Elder Scrolls games, because I like exploring, trying out new characters with different play styles, and always start new characters for each Faction quest line. Mods also help to keep the games interesting for me.

Not counting online games, I've spent alot of time in:

Skyrim

Fallout 3

Fallout new vegas

Witcher 3

and now Fallout 4 looks set to break all records because I'm now doing another playthrough on survival mode.

[We're talking hundreds of hours in each here :)]

I'm sure I put more time into Civilization IV than any other game I've ever owned. Fallout IV would be one that might come close.

Recently I've been putting countless hours into Darkest Dungeon.

I dont play games that 'complete' but with that said my highest ranking game in Steam is 7 days to die however its possible that I have more hours over all in Wurm Online but I dont have that recorded.

it would be either one of those two for sure (and that is almost 1000 hours each)

Ultima 4 (SMS) easily over 2000 hours (I doubt I will ever complete it) but Company of Heroes multiplayer, scarily, I've clocked up over 50,000 hours. I actually banned myself from playing it any more.

Across all platforms I have over 1000 hours invested in Skyrim, and(this one is more of a rough estimate) likely somewhere between 6-700 in Oblivion.

After that it would have to go to the Gen 2 Pokemon games, once again this is a rough estimate but I know that at one point I had figured out to have put around 400 hours into them, but I've played through and maxed out some mons several times since then so who knows where the number is now.

Then of course there's Persona 4. I beat the original twice and Golden once, 4's first run was around 100 hours, second was 90, and the golden one was around 120, so guess that would be around 310 hours too. If we're looking at Persona as an entire franchise then I beat 3 once, and 5 1.5 times(in the middle of a second run now) however I don't remember the times of those ones offhand.

I'm sure I'm forgetting something else but that's all that comes to mind offhand.

Between the original Skyrim and the Skyrim Special Edition, I have spent over 1000 hours and I haven't even beaten the game. Finally with SKSE 64bit working, I have modded my Skyrim Special Edition exactly how I want it to be and it is probably one of the best gaming experiences I have ever had.

Compared to the original Skyrim, the Special Edition is a much more stable modding experience and the frame rate is buttery smooth. I expect to put an additional 200-500 hours into Skyrim Special Edition this year.

Collectively it might be Fire Emblem Path of Radiance, mainly because I've played that title numerous times because it's so good.

Mine would have to be, ashamedly, Roblox. Only because I joined in 2013, ok? Its not because I play 24/7/365 OK?? If it were the game i've played for the longest period of gameplay, it'd be The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. Again, only because it was that and Minecraft for my PS3 at the time.

Fallout 4, according to Steam. What's funny is I've never actually beaten it. I usually just load up a bunch of mods and come up with a character to role play, ignoring the main story. Same with Skyrim.

Dark Souls II is another big one.

Of course I need to mention Civ VI, Factorio, and RimWorld here too.
