You want to play.... rayman 2 for example and you have two options
digital form= 10$
disc/cartridge form= 15$
which version will you buy? and why?

I have to go with the disc/physical copy because there is something about seeing a line-up of PS1, PS2, and PS3 games lined up in organized fashion on my shelf. It's the collector in me as well. I'm also a sucker for liner notes as well:P
The disc for me, no doubt. The only time I like going with a digital copy is if the physical copy is either ridiculously expensive or very hard to find. But for only $5 more, it's definetly worth it. If you ever tire of the game you can sell it or trade it. You can't do that with a digital copy.
It depends how easily obtained the analog version is. I'd rather not wait one week for a mail just for a more expensive version of a game I could download for cheaper price in one hour...
if its just 5 dollars (ie £3) then I don't mind paying extra for the physical copy
if the physical copy was an extremely expensive game , I would get the digital one.
for instance, if Radiant Silvergun gets released on PSN, I would buy it because the physical copy costs alot.
I get digital. I never even consider physical copies of anything older than last gen. Second_Rookwhy is anything older then last gen out of the question? any particular reason?
[QUOTE="Second_Rook"]I get digital. I never even consider physical copies of anything older than last gen. Darkman2007why is anything older then last gen out of the question? any particular reason? Just accessibility really. It's not that I wouldn't get a cart or disc should I happen to come across something rare or that I really want. But my main gaming now is done on a ps3 so I'll even get a digital copy of a game that I already have just to put it on PSP or the convenience of playing it right from the menu.
Also I still own my consoles from last gen, many of the older ones I have sold or given away, so in a lot of cases digital is my only option.
i will always buy the physical game. digital is never an option for me even if its way cheaper which ironically it usually isnt.kit352
What about when the digital version offers more? Say you buy a 50+ hour rpg. The ability to play at home, and then take it on the road, does not interest you?
With the exception of PC games, I usually prefer having a physical copy.

pretty much my opinion yesterday
I bought GTA1/2/3/VC/SA from Steam because they were on offer for £5 combined
its those kinds of deals where the digital copies are better
and yes, all of the PC versions of the GTA games are better then the PS1/PS2 versions (VC and SA look great in high res)
