My first introduction to gaming would of been with the PS1. My first two games on that console were Monsters Inc and Atlantis The Lost Empire. I remember playing Atlantis a lot more than Monsters Inc though. (Randall scared the heck out of me.) I also liked Spyro. (Never have been a huge fan of Crash Bandicoot.)

Few years pass, I got a PS2. Final Fantasy X, Sly Raccoon, Ratchet and Clank, Jak & Daxter, Kingdom Hearts and a not so well-known Fur Fighters were my go to games on that console.

I also remember eagerly waiting for Brave Search for Spirit Dancer to come out onto the PS2. (Saw it in a magazine.) I played it and thought.."Eh, it's ok.." lol.

Overall though, I think Popolocrois on the PSP impacted me so much back then. Really defined my love for JRPG's.

'Kid' and 'favourite' - thats a wide net!

But I'll take Wonder Boy in Monster World on Master System.

Such a classic, even played it recently.

This is a good question, but I don't remember. I liked a lot of games and I spent much time for gaming. The main thing for me was gameplay. I liked a process of competition with friends or AI.

I was a kid a long time and had many different games I loved. The 3 biggest ones are Disgaea 1, Sonic 3 and Knuckles and Final Fantasy 7

I was a kid for many years so that's a wide net therefore I'll break it up into early, mid, and late childhood.

I started gaming on the NES and my favorite games during those early years were Super Mario Bros. 3 and the Ninja Turtles games.

A few years later when I had the 16 bit consoles, my favorite games were Donkey Kong Country and Zombies Ate My Neighbors.

The 5th generation marked the later years of my childhood as I was about to approach teenage years and my favorite games around this time were the fantastic 4 player multiplayer games that my friends and I used to play on the N64. My favorites being Goldeneye 007, Mario Kart 64, and the greatest trilogy of wrestling games of all time (Revenge/WM2000/No Mercy).

At home, I played my families copy of Kirby's Dream Land 3 the most. Arcades, probably Dansu Dansu games.

I wasn't very interested in gaming overall at an early age.

As a kid in my time, the arcade was the place to be. These were the two games that ate most of my quarters.

Sonic 3 & Knuckles. Magnificent gameplay, fantastic soundtrack, stuffed with content. Hours and hours of fun.

Hold up and down at the Barrel of Doom (you know the one), then slip under when you get enough height.

Master Of Darkness ( Castlevania release in Europe only) and GG Shinobi 2.

Sometimes go back and play them for nostalgia, still a blast to play.

Space Invaders and Galaxian at the arcades. One token could go a long way. I'd reach the maximum score, back to zero, and keep playing.

I honestly cannot remember.

I know I played Legend of Zelda and the Ninja Turtle games like crazy on the NES, but I also have memories of me and my friends completing Secret of Mana multiple times.

I also spent a lot of time playing that TMNT II in the arcade, spending way too many quarters. Good times.

Possibly the first open world game ever...The Lords of Midnight.

Tried playing it again recently...unplayable, but at the time I spent months mapping out the land of midnight, and trying different ways of winning.

Look it up young uns.

Didn't really have a particular favorite. It was all based on mood. Instead, I'll just post games that I put in over 100 hours of playtime while growing up:

Zelda OoT (2k+ hours)
Perfect Dark (2K+ hours)
Final Fantasy VII
Metroid Prime
Smash Bros 64 and Melee
Super Mario 64
Super Mario Kart 64
Forsaken 64
Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers (NES)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (NES)
Top Gear 2 (SNES) (Me and my dad played this all the time when I was growing up)

That's really all that comes to mind....
