If you have favourites I really believe that you are playing BF3 the wrong way. In offensive Rush I usually play assault or recon, in either case equipped with the 870MCS (extended mag/ kobra sight/ standard shotgun ammo). In defensive rush I mostly play support, with Type-88 (extended mag/ bipod/ IV). in Conquest I mostly play the engineer equipped with A-91 (IV/ silencer/ forgot last attachment) and Javelin. If my squad has enough engineers and nobody does laser tags I change to recon with a L86. Naturally, these standard setups can change depending on the battle situation.
I play engineer in pretty much everything but Team DeathMatch. Favorite Weapon: Stinger, UMP-45. Not only is the game so focused on vehicles, the beauty of watching your rockets seek a helicopter and burst into flames is very satisfying.
From an optical point of view it's the engineer, his look is the coolest in the whole game. Dat epic unshaved face really tells you "I rather do my mechanic stuff than taking care of my body" xD
Gameplay wise it depends which mode, map and so on but usually reckon played the least. Except it's TDM on Teheran Highway, then I love to hide somewhere good and MAV spot the hell out of the enemy.
