What is the NAME of this game!

I'm really troubled here. I remember playing a game like a decade ago where I could fly on the back of a dragon or big eagle, I don't know which one it was, around some large hills with castles on top. It had this type of metallic feel so the bird/dragon was possibly robotic in nature. Sorry for the lack of details but I'm sure only a limited number of games existed during 2006 that look like that. I would really like to get a hold of it. You don't have to be specific, even if you listed 500 possible games I'd still be happy with that, as I could run through that list using Google pics within an hour and recognize the correct one

You thinking of Panzer Dragoon Orta maybe? Or maybe the dragon game on ps3, Lair?

@hillelslovak: It was on PC and nope it's not Panzer Dragoon Orta, it's not really looking that adventurous, it's more like a steady, dark game with scary music. Lair would be something closer to what the game looks like. It's like a metallic feel.

@whatwasthename: Can you describe the gameplay a bit? Maybe what you remember of the universe?

The only thing I can remember is that the dragon/bird/eagle that I was flying was not very natural, but machine-like and that that the environment was dark, that there were castle structures on top of high mountains and that I very clearly remember walking with the dragon/bird/eagle on the inside of one of the castles having such a view, except that it was more dark:
