Plenty of shmups/bullet hells fit the bill. Was binge playing some Cave shmups a while back. Mainly DoDonPachi Resurrection, but dabbled in a couple of others. Swiveled my monitor vertical, had a great time.
If you're on PC, can find plenty of ways to play old arcade titles. Would search classic arcade vertical scrollers or vertical shooters, should come up with tons of games.
