What game has the best NPC's you have played with

There are so many games where the NPC's that come along with you on a mission or adventure are just retarded, like they will get stuck on walls, shoot away from the enemies, not help out in a fight at all, or run around in the wrong direction towards the danger or away from where you need to go.

So which games have the best, smartest most dependable NPC's that you felt confident with going on missions with?

Probably Elizabeth from Bioshock Infinite.

Folks from the Half-Life series.

Alyx is amazing, so is Dog.

Barney was fun, and leading the scientists into traps was always great in the first one.

far cry 5, the npcs. on your side really help. and the emeny respond well to ur actions. they make it harder to flank etc

My preferred bots are the one in Wolfenstein 1 and 2. They are amazing and a lot of fun to play.

Mass Effect and Uncharted games.

From a gameplay perspective, Palicos are the best NPCs in gaming that I've encountered.

In a lot of games mentioned above the A.I. is bare-boned and moronic. They may be good characters, but the A.I. is trash_
