what excuse do you use when people tell you you have to many games?.

my parents think i have too many games and that im addicded to buying old games :cry:

i only have about 60 games now but i started buying old games in the Beginning of this year.. (before that i had like 10)

what is your exuse because i need one...

and i really dont spend a lot of money on them..

That's the thing with older games, it's easy to build up your collection very quickly. I honestly don't enjoy selling games, even the games that I hate. So I keep everything that I have. I don't have much of an excuse, but then again I'm old enough and have a job to make my own purchases. But people rarely give me crap about it since I typically only play games in my free time at home and then do various other activities. It's a hobby of yours, so treat it like one. I'd say it's no different than collecting albums or stamps. If you enjoy it just let them know that you enjoy it as a hobby. They should be more than OK with that.

Honestly, you COULD be into something much, much, worse. You could enjoy exposing yourself in public, or murdering small animals, or shop lifting, or a Young Republican admiring George W. Bush... there are tons of less socially acceptable pastimes you could be engaging in. Seriously.

You don't need one, there's got to be something that they do all the time though like maybe smoking. I tell my dad I play games for the same reason he smokes, that usually gets him to hush lol.bigd575

I've always had around 20 so I don't need any, but if I had more I would just use the classic: I like games, it's a great excuse for having them

Just tell them, "I could be collecting staplers like this idiot I know on GameSpot..." that'll shut them up real quick.

I only use this if people mean it to me in an offensive way. Above all else, I just simply reply with a "Meh".

None of my friends have ever told me I have too many games... yet:D I get that about my music collection though but I don't ever make up an excuse, I just tell it like it is and say because I enjoy it.

well, I usually tell them "better to spend money on video games then on alcohol/cigarettes", people usually have a guilty look on their face and never ask again

The only person who gives me grief about my huge game collection is my mother. I always just say "Its no different then any other collection." I also buy all of my games so she really can't say much about it.

"I'm a collector, especially with my NES games... One day I will catch them all..." Whether or not I follow this statement with maniacal laughter depends ony my mood and who I'm communicating with at the time.

I can afford it. Gaming also makes me happy, so why try to deny me some sort of happiness? It's a hobby. Everyone has hobbies.
