I have set up the online and it wants to know if I would like to register my PS2 to sony. What will this do for me??

No, i can already play online but it asks me if I would like to register my playstation 2 to sony, and i have to fill out information like where i live and stuff like that. I'm wondering what that part does.

so that they can repair it if it breaks when its in warranty and send it back
