Depends on the situation really, if I was playing a PC game and I was skipping i'd use it for frames pre second. But if I was describing a game i'd say it was an FPS.
It depends on the context. If someone is asking how many FPS I get with my new HD4850, then oviously frames per second jumos to mind. If someone askes me what my favourite FPS is, then I'm going to be like "lol 60-75 is teh bestest.".
I thought this was going to be a thread that actually discussed deeper thoughts regarding what the FPS genre meant to players.
