What console should I buy?

What console should I buy: the Xbox 360, PS2, PS3, or the Wii?

Also: Have the Xbox 360's problems been worked out? I hear they don't last long for some reasons I can not remember.

 I like to play shooting games, sports games, and racing games.

Come on, man, if you already know what genres of games you like most, it can't be that hard to figure out which system is best for you.  Do a little research, because a thread like this always leads to one-word answers, flaming, and a whole bunch of other stuff that never really helps answer the question.

Incidentally, I'd say the 360 is probably the best place to get your fill of games within those genres.  But then, maybe you're not sure of the hardware so a PS3 might be the way to go...
