What collector's items have you purchased/preordered recently?

I preordered a Square Enix 2B figure that's expected to come out next month, a FF7 Remake Book, and also preordered a book on Steins Gate. Also put a preorder on the Horizon Forbidden West Collector's edition but I doubt I'm going to keep it 😄 How about you, GD? What collector's items have you recently purchased?

I'm not really much a collector anymore. The last time I bought a collector's edition was Sonic Mania, and all that Sonic statue does is collect dust. It's a great way for companies to milk more money out of their consumers, though, considering they usually spend pennies on the dollar to make those extras.

I usually don't buy collector's editions. I'm more in it to experience the game itself. But, I did recently pick up World's End Club on the Nintendo Switch. The Deluxe Edition is the only physical copy they had on offer. It came with a soundtrack and an art booklet from memory. So you could class that as CE.

Collector items seem like a waste of money. Could put it towards a game. I like the wiener dog statue for Far Cry 5. That being said it is 120 I think. That is 2 games. A chunk of plastic is not worth 120.

Backed Detained: Too Good for School and am getting the Collector Box Edition, sadly even this version does not come with a physical copy. I asked about that and apparently OTK GAMES just isn't comfortable doing physical releases.

On that note Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is still set for 2022 so we'll see if that gets delayed or not. I think it'll be one of the best RPGs releasing honestly, it's pretty hype. My backer pledge is for a steelbook version of the game.

Pokemon cards. I still collect them here and there

Next up is SMT V steelbook in November.

Ooooh, and that game came out when games came in ACTUAL boxes.

I don't miss physical media, but I do sometimes get nostalgic for those larger boxes and game manuals. AND THE SMELL! Nothing like that new-game smell.
