Global Defence Force.
Fighting enemies that are much bigger than you is awesome!
As Dudersaper warned me, the frame-rate is a bit stuttery when there are multiple foes on-screen (The first time i encountered this was 2 seconds into the very first stage), but that just gives you incentive to kill them faster! More dead = better frame-rate!
Haven't got the hang of the vehicles yet, i tend to crash them almost immediately, but better on foot anyway!
It's the type of game that makes you go "RRAAAAARRRR" as you're playing it. :D
 That's one way to see it.Global Defence Force.

I knew you'd like the game :D
There's a sequel on the 360 and PS3 that I'd love to play, the more giant alien killing the better :D
I started Klonoa 2 for GBA over the weekend. It's better than the first one and the first one is damn good.
It's funny you should bring Ever 17 up because I've been playing it a lot over the last few days. I'm 15 hours in and have completed one arc (bad ending, naturally). Personally I feel the pacing is really painfully slow (it doesn't get going until around 10 hours in) but it must be doing something right if it kept me soldiering on.Beat Ni no Kuni last night. If I don't end up with Dead Space 3 by the weekend, I'll most likely waste it on Ever 17 (written by the guy behind DS's 999). Eventless weekend ahoy.

Replaying Hard Reset on Hard with EX mode (I kept my stuff and uprades when I played it in Normal Difficulty). I'm getting slaughtered if I start from scratch.
Oh. Legacy.....
I was playing Stratego earlier
Replaying Suikoden 3. After that I'll probably play Suikoden 5 again and just skip the 4th one. I dunno, I only played Suikoden 4 one time but I really hated it. Maybe I should try it one more time.
Unreal Tournament (1999) - Online fraggery has never been better. The proof being it's just as much fun in 2013 as it was in 1999.
Last night i ran an Instagib server, tonight i'm going to surprise my friends with traditional UT weapons, because they need the practice. :D

On the PS2 am still playing when time permits:
Global Defence Force - The fun still hasn't worn off even after 50 missions.
Valkyrie Profile 2 - Need to gain another 5 levels before i will attempt the endgame boss again, battle was a bit one-sided last time.
Gran Turismo 3 - New career where i've forbidden myself from buying suspension, tyres and brake upgrades. All races are spent mostly sideways! :D
Right now I'm playing Gears of War and Metal Gear Solid 2.
Almost done with the former and I just started the latter.Â
Chrono Trigger on Wii Virtual Console. I played it way back when it was a new game. But it's been quite a while. I've just started and I'm really liking it, so far. I've forgotten enough about it after this much time that it's almost a new experience again.
Finished Policanauts during my time away from here and will probably resume my Haunting Ground playthrough during free time later. I'm already more than halfway through that.
Playing Lunar Silver Star Story on my first playthrough about to attempt the Black dragon cave. Such an incredible and beautiful awesome awesome game.
I've not played 999, but I did finally finish Ever 17. All I will say is for the love of all that is holy, keep slogging through the slow parts on the first few play-throughs because the reveals and plot twists in the last arc are...well, mind-bendingly brilliant.Beat Ni no Kuni last night. Ended up putting Haunting Ground on hold again for Snatcher which I'm midway through. Meanwhile to those discussing Ever17 is there more than a single English release? I know the PC one is a pain to find and I've been interested in it since finishing 999 as well.
Also playing Anarchy Reigns on the 360. If anyone likes The Bouncer then you'll love this

YES MY FRIEND!!
It's funny. The Japanese version of the game is on practically everything but the English one doesn't even have a digital reprint as far as I know. You would think at least someone would have made a smart-phone version of it or something.Ended up putting Haunting Ground on hold again for Snatcher which I'm midway through. Donkey Kong Country Advance. Elements of this version were dummies down, apparently.Heirren

I've been trying to find a cheap copy of this for a while w/ no luck. Compared to the Mario GBA ports, they seem to get considerably worse reviews. It also seems like the graphics are way worse, but that is based on me watching YouTube videos so who knows.

Well it is a niche appeal still I guess... Oh well, I'm up for another challenge having taken down Snatcher. I've heard nothing but good things about Ever17 so chances are it may become my next main target. Sounds like you enjoyed it overall as well.

Upon closer inspection there is a smart-phone Japan only version of the game...if the game is already ported and an English translation already exists it boggles the mind as to why no one would slap it up on an app store. VNs are one of the few genres that actually work well on a phone!Treasures of the Deep (PS1)
It's good to be back! Was one of my fav PS1 games back in the day, and still great today.

I got it bundled with the Micro. I haven't finished it yet but I've noticed some changes. Some are annoying presentation things, while for gameplay the mine cart sections are much easier. The visuals feel different. It doesn't look bad though, but that could be because I'm playing it on the micro. The changes are less annoying(so far) vs the Mario remakes, IMO. I'm not sure what you consider cheap. I payed around $80 for the micro, two faceplates, DKC, a system case, AC adaptor, and a Pokemon game(which I can't seem to get to work). ...if you like DKC for everything it's about it's really great on the micro. You were right, the micro is pretty great. I think it's my favorite portable now, even more than the trusty sp. the faceplate system is genius.[QUOTE="Exceed20XX"][QUOTE="Articuno76"] It's funny. There is also a remake for the 360 that features 3D character models instead of drawn-characters (though the general consensus is that the characters look creepy and like they have dead eyes). The 360 version apparently has a lot of content edited out or shortened in response to criticisms that the original story dragged and repeated a lot in the beginning. Funnily enough there is no PS3 version.ill list what im playing/whats in my consoles
