Have you ever cried due to a video game related cause, like playing a video game, buying one etc.
Whether it was out of frustration, sadness, happiness or horror, please tell everyone here!

I personally can't remember any moments of crying whilst gaming, however I'd love to hear yours :P

I cried at the ending of Kingdom Hearts 2. I love that game. I'm also feeling a bit of sadness to see the last Ratchet & Clank game be released this year.

I've only cried once in a game before of that I can remember. Although I do get very frustrated at some games and when I was younger, I cried in anger;).

I've come pretty close, but never allowed myself to cry. Usually, when I start to get really close, I'll put the game into sleep mode or pause it or whatever.

Every video game has made me feel one emotion or another. That's the great thing about them.

Nearly cried in desperation at the difficulty of certain games at times, but not quite. I've probably teared a bit for the stories of some of the games I've played, but I can't think of any in particular right now.

Around the end of MGS3 kinda did it, but i don't really cry due to the events in a movie/game (Gran Torino's ending did make me cry, though and at the end of one scrubs episode)

I am fully in touch with my emotions... and cry quite a bit... so keeping track of what makes me cry is a bit of an impossibility. And why is there such an influx of "what makes you cry?" threads here in GGD?

A lot of games have been emotional intense to me, specially whe i was little. It´s one of the reasons i love good games.

The last game that made me feel like crying of emotion was, believe or not, COD3, that part when your team are surrounded by enemies, droping like flies, expecting the reinforcements to save them, and suddenly, in our last stand on the hill, tanks appear and someone said "The reinforcements have arrived, we are saved!" follow by a teammate that says "wait a minute, that´s not the canadians". Boommm. The music was awesome, and we had to defend the position a few more minutes. Brilliant.

I have never cried due to a game before. That is not to say there are no sad games. I have damn sure felt anger though. The peak of that anger was getting knocked out of the playoffs in extra innings in All Star Baseball 99 when I was 13 and ripping the door off of my entertainment unit. I was crafty enough to put it back on using my dad's tools before he and my mom got home.

Well a bunch of games got me really emotional. FFX, the Zanarkand part,MGS3's last battle and MGS4's *microwave scene* and ending and Tenchu 1/2 endings. I'm sure there is more but that's all I can remember now.

Some games make you cry after buying them instantly...in a different way.:P

Because tears are a sign of emotional connection. I think these threads are trying to prove that video games are legitimate forms of expressing a tale.

Some are afraid to admit that some things make them tear up. So they therefore seek assurance that they are not alone.

The end of Half-Life: Episode 2 got me teary-eyed. It was so perfect, the connections that you build with the character, and the sacrifices that you endure, it's all so perfectly written, the people at Valve are real geniuses. Also, I REALLY felt like crying while reading some of the dreams in Lost Odyssey, they were so tragic, yet beautiful.

Not that I can remember. It takes a lot to make me cry in a film (only happened a handful of times) and no game has ever done it that effectively as to make me cry. Not to say I havent had a deep emotional connection with a game before (quite the contrary) ... just never got me to cry.

I almost cried in Beyond Good & Evil when Jade and Double H found that the kids at the lighthouse had been kidnapped. Probably one of the most emotional scenes I have ever seen in a video game.

Other than that, I have never come to tears playing a video game. I have gotten mad a number of times, especially online. I've got the Xbox Live negative rep to prove it.

Lol, almost. I lost all my memory in Gears of War 2 and Rainbow Six Vegas 2. The worst part was that I didn't have XBL so none of it could be recovered. I was angry as hell!
