Fine by me. I never got the desire for a modern day AC. The whole draw of the game is getting lost in these historical eras really unique to the series. Don't we have enough franchises that take place in modern times? It just wouldn't feel special.

Not the first time they have said this , the org dev´s also said that they wouldn´t make a modern day since it would limited them to much.
Which is fine with me, i think a modern Creed would be bad,
Bring back Ezio!
I think the story of Ezio was well told and had a worthy ending in AC Revelations. So i think his part of the story is over. But i would love a greek setting of ancient Athens and Sparta
Bring back Ezio!
That story have been told so i don't mind a new hero
Just dont make it like Connor or the guy in Black Flag, at least try to have him be a bit human.
i can't comment on AC IV yet, but AC III character was a bit dull. The thing that made Ezio awesome was because he cared about something else than just the cause. He was doing it for everyone. Family and the Assassin's. Connor only did it for himself for the most part if you really think about it. Same with Altair, he did it for the Order and others. They were heroes. Connor only did it because it suited him and his cause

That's because it was done poorly. A blend of Assassin's Creed stunts and Hitman disguises and stealth would be phenomenal, and would be just the innovation the franchise needs.

I think it was well done in the earlier games, but just out of place in AC III
I'm in the minority who actually liked the modern day storyline, there was a lot of wasted potential there from Revelations onwards.

Yeah, that's what i think aswell, i really liked it how they did it especially in Revelations. But they totally missed the opportunity with AC III
Fine by me, 1 assassin per game is the way to go. I also wasn't a fan of the Desmond's modern day levels on AC III so I don't know if a modern day game would be good for the series.
I would like to see a modern AC if it was done right.
i don't think it can be done right to be honest

It would be hard. I can see them doing an open world platformer like AC should be but they need to be in some place(s) that is not a city.

That will be impossible, because they would need targets and a city to be in. That's what AC is famous for
I also liked the modern day story in AC but I felt it could have been utilised better. I liked how the past and modern day stories tied in with each other in AC2 and Brotherhood but in Revelations it seemed to go downhill, and 3's modern day stuff felt like a waste of time. I havent played Black Flag yet so cant comment on that one.

I was thinking about the modern AC and came up with the ideal of just make a new Batman game using the concepts from AC.

Still, i don't think it would work that well, the entire series is built on visiting ancient and historic sites in the world through history
