Ok so I recently played AC 2 Ezio collection on Ps4 and I noticed that dlc is still locked behind a paywall. Not exactly real world money, it uses ubisoft point/coin that I can earn through doing activites in game.

I get that its to improve player engagement but what is wrong with just giving me the all the dlcs for a remastered game? I just want that altair costume but due to the ubisoft point I had to choose what to spend my precious ubi points, between unlocking the costume or unlocking a mission dlc. Just let me play in peace Ubi!

Haven't bought an Ubisoft game since Scott Pilgrim complete bundle so I'm technically in the clear.

Outside of Rayman, Ubisoft seems to focus on sandbox games almost entirely, probably the reason I don't show any interest.

For Honor looks cool but read that's a DLC mess as well.

Last generation this is what Capcom got attacked for online (and justly so). Yet Activision, EA, WB, and Ubisoft still get away with it. My question is "why?"
