It was played on a PC browser, where you controlled a single character (a skateboarder IIRC) and went through various levels trying to collect gold coins (shaped like rings) while trying not to die to various monsters, traps, and spikes on the ground. Sort of similar to Sonic the Hedgehog.

Early levels were set in an urban environment, later levels have jungle settings, then later a kind of sci-fi setting.

There are secret clouds that you can jump onto, where a big spring would pop up and bounce you upwards into a string of otherwise inaccessible coins. In order to collect all the coins in a level, you usually have to stray off the main route and find all the secret bouncing clouds and springs. You can also collect hearts this way (1 heart = 1 extra life).

At the end of each level, you get a notification saying "X out of Y coins collected". It usually takes a few attempts of scouring each level before you can get to "Y out of Y coins collected".

Thanks guys.
