Keep it either wii, ps3, 360, or PC 2005-2013. My top 5 fav games of last gen are (in no order):

Dark Souls: possibly the best game i have ever played. Easily top 3 ever

Xcom: Enemy Within: Incredible and thrilling strategy with good gameplay progression

Red Dead Redemption: almost flawless

Super Mario Galaxy 2: Platforming masterpiece

The Last of Us (beats Uncharted 2 by a hair): Unforgettable experience that comes once in a decade

Red Dead, Mass Effect, GTA IV, Oblivion, and Deus Ex HR.

1) Donkey Kong Country Returns (the greatest platformer I have ever played)

2) Batman Arkham City (A jack of all trades that handled each of its gameplay elements better than most games that focus on a single aspect)

3) The Legend of Zelda Skyward (one of the most purely enjoyabe adventures from beginning to end)

4) Super Mario Galaxy 2 (a testament to game design creativity)

5) Assassin's Creed Black Flag (an open world game that capitalizes on the romantic idea of being a pirate. I've always wanted that)

*Did enjoy games such as Ninja Gaiden II, Halo 3, Resi 5, Metal Gear 4, and Uncharted 2. But I never really went back to them. They didn't keep me interested past the credits. And frankly felt they all got worse the more my playthrough went on. That's a bad sign in my opinion. A great game grips you and makes you want to play it more, and more.

1. Mass Effect Trilogy - Replayed each game several times, extremely unusual for me.

2. Civilization 4 and 5 - Sunk countless hours in these games, oh and Civ Revolution too

4. Madden - Kind of a guilty pleasure, but I have played this too much during that time period to leave it off (though I buy it usually every other year or so)
