I wouldn't listen to "that kind", I hope to be gaming well into old age, as long as I don't get arthritis.
That was a good video. Intelligent guy knows what he talking about and gets his point across, and he is right. You are never too old to play games, anyone ridiculing older gamers needs to remember that they are in our space. This is our past time not theirs, if the average age of a gamer was toward to lower end of teen hood do you really think we would have and of the maturer games that we have today such as Call of Duty? No. Bottom line is that you are never too old to play, as long as your priorities are kept in order that is.
I'm 23 btw beeing playing since the NES days. If someone gavesyou crap about playing video games just remind them that you were "pwning the nubs" while they were mastering the use of the big boy potty.
During my days of WoW gaming, I've encountered more gamers between 30-40 years old than lolwatting kids. I guess it depends on the company you keep.GhoXIt's funny how many older people play WoW. I knew a a guy from sweden he is a 50 something year old doctor, he plays an undead rogue in one of the best guilds on the server lol.
Apparently the average gamer is in their early 30s. And with an aging population, as long as those guys keep playing games the age of the average gamer is just going to keep rising.
i'd believe it. Everytime I go get a game at ebgames the age of customers there are probably range from 20 - 35.Apparently the average gamer is in their early 30s. And with an aging population, as long as those guys keep playing games the age of the average gamer is just going to keep rising.

You are never too old to play videogames. The days when Videogames were for children only are over.TreflisAnd thankfully so.
It´s just bs. You never to old to play videogames. My father (God bless him) is 54, and his like the biggest Diablo, starcraft and Warcraft fan/player i ever known. Me my self is 25 (turning 26 in a couple of months). So im not down with that. I will play games to the day i die.
Videogames 4 life
While playing online I've been ridiculuced by tweens for being too oldTheMASSIVEDon't pay attention to such cretins. I'm 28 and I don't see myself quitting gaming anytime soon.
People are never too old to play video games as they are never too old to watch movies or too old to rock n' roll ;)Odrec
Yep, never....
Anyone that has done rental can attest to the fact that a fair number of retired people (old men, generally) are the first in line for renting new games. Staying forever young takes work.

I'm 30... I remember playing FF7 (yes that again) when I was 18, then FF8, Alundra, andclassics like Ocarina of Time on a borrowed N64.Those games started me off with role playing/adventure thing.
Sometimes it's a nostalgic thing... a lot of the games made recently just don't feel the same, kind of generic, soulless.

Shigeru Miyamoto - age 57
Hironobu Sakaguchi - age 47
Tim Schafer - age 42
I think we're lucky to still have some of these older gamers. Teenagers may be the game designers of tomorrow, but I'm glad we have guys like these today. I hope they never feel that they're too old.

It says on his wikipedia that Miyamoto barely plays games and much prefers to spend his time playing guitar... Which is surprising to say the least considering he's so good at making them
I definitely hope I'll always have time for video games. I'm eighteen, but I definitely don't think there's an age limit. My dad is who introduced me to gaming, and at fifty-something, he's still playing almost everyday. :)
I'm 39 years old and still enjoy playing videogames. Started when I was 6-7 years old when I got my first system(Atari 2600) for Christmas and now I own all three of the current systems. Though I do kind of snicker when someone says they are an old gamer and they're in the 25-29 age range.:P
I avoid playing online cos of brats like that.
The way I see it I've earned the right, I remember arguing with friends in the playground about which was better master system, nes or amiga.
Kids today have no appreciation for how games have evolved.
Anybody tells me that I'm too old for gaming and I tell them that gaming was invented for my generation and if it wasn't for us mature gamers the PS3's and 360's of today wouldn't exist.

a fair amount of adults do play it
but you're never too old to play video games as long as you like them
