No chance in hell. Ever since Naughty Dog sold the Crash franchise to Vivendi there hasn't been a decent installment of the series. It is over and done with. If they can't make traditional versions of Crash Bandicoot that are good, what chance does an RPG have at being good? In theory any type game could be good with any characters. But since we're dealing with reality and not fantasy, let's just say no.

If the traditional versions aren't working, why not try another formula? With enough effort and time, it could work. Besides, the new crach game being released for the Wii, called Crash of the Titans, looks like it has some promise.
The real question is what is the point? Seriously, Crash is great because Naughty Dog are fantastic at developing platformers (with Crash 3 arguably being the pinicle of the series, if not of the entire action platformer genre). With an RPG you'd have...I don't know what you'd have, you could exchange Crash for any character and it wouldn't make any diffrence.
