Haven't bought a full price game in a decade I believe. Wait, did I? No, I bought Mario Strikers on GC. Not a bad game. It'll have to remain blank for now, damn memory.
I did buy a few games at full retail price in the past 5 years (SMG, SMG2, Zelda TP, Uncharted 2, Fallout 3, Killzone 2, Bioshock 2 among all 35 games or so that I bought), the most disappointing of which was Killzone 2, which was not terrible by any means, but not as good as the other 6.
I really loved the psone games and thought this new game would sorta be like them, I was wrong but I cant bring myself to trade it in (normally I can cut my loses but I have a collectors mentality when it comes to games).
I used to blindly buy games based on their cover back in the ps2 days, so I've wasted a lot of money on crappy ps2 games. As far as this gen goes though I usually research the games I buy carefully. Modern Warfare 2, I didn't research this game at all, bought it first day and hated it after a week. Somewhere between the mass amount of glitches and the dual shotguns made me sell this game. So the game I wish I had never bought, wasted my money on and that will make me never buy another Call of Duty game again is Modern Warfare 2.
Ninja Gaiden 2 on 360. Absolute trash. And I loved Ninja Gaiden Black.

Bought NG2 for $15 a while hack, and I still feel I didn't get my monies worth, also NGB is among my favorite games. Hmmm... I feel like I didn't get my monies worth with RE5, I beat it online coop with my bro and haven't touched or even thought about it since, and RE4 is another game I'd consider one of my favs, beat RE4 around 5 times now.

Borderlands. Got it back in Feburary, still haven't taken it out of the packaging yet. Only reason I got it was because a guy I know talked me into it saying that we could do co-op together. Then school and work kept me too busy to play any games for a long time (had at least one exam every week last semester) and by the time I got some free time he had already beaten it like four times so now I don't really have any point in playing it since from what I hear it's only good for the co-op.
What is with people not liking ninja gaiden 2? It's like, exactly the same thing as NG1, but with better graphics and servering limbs.

Where to begin...? The story is beyond ridiculous. The characters are shallow and unbelievable. The combat is cheap, not challenging, just cheap and frustrating. No targeting system, and the combat controls are sometimes unresponsive. The game is terribly unbalanced. Worst of all, the game takes itself way too seriously for its own good.
Modern Warfare 2 for the PS3, I bought it for the story mode and beat it within a day! And had it beaten on Veteran and also found all the intel in 2 days at a later time. I can't play on line so i was pretty mad. Seems like these days the games are being designed poorly with short stories and being geared for online play.
none ... games are almost never finished products nowadays ... they all need at least one patch when they come out so i wait for price drops, what's more there are all sorts of nasty drm's like having to login before you can play, just a crazy principle when it comes to single player games so that's when i don't buy them at all.
oh well i am thinking about making that kind of a gamble and buy a new game today because i am bored because there have not been many really good games during the last year(s) but $59.99 is still not a top priced game here because of the euro exchange rates ... still i don't hope it's a waste but you never know lol.
$60? That is close to nothing. I bought Perfect Dark Zero for 600 SEK (~$77) and it really sucked ass. Despite good review and being next gen it was terrible.
