Those who have played Modern Warfare 2 on the PC know what this topic is about. How can a Robert Bowling and Infinity Ward advertise and tout this game's matchmaking system and security against hackers and cheaters as a way to better their gaming experience and make it more accessible. Not only is it near impossible now to find a match with out a blatant hacker killing everything in sight through any object, but its so common now that people have gotten good at covering it up. Maybe its because its almost the only way to have a chance to win a match now since there usually 2 or three people running hacks every match. What's worse, not only are most of these people never going to get banned, but between Infinity Ward and STEAM's VAC (product used to protect the game from cheaters and hackers) they have made it completely impossible for the honest gamer do anything but either leave the match and take a loss, or not play the game. Even if you leave, half the time it puts you right back in that game. This is the best selling game ever made, yet seems to have already been abandoned on the support side. Robert Bowling has touted his DLC packages but has said nothing of the fact that game has been completely ruined on the PC side? Why? Well, money of course. Tell the people a fairy tail, take their money, then completely ignore them when they realize they have been lied to. You can send in information on new cheats and complain all you want, the closest they come to letting you report someone who is blatantly hacking is to find out what hack they are using (only if its a hackfrom a privatesiteand not from a public site) and get the binaries and send it to them. What? They want to make the game more accessible for the average player yet their only defense to fight hackers is to buy the private hack, and send the binaries to the VACBANNED Website? Are you kidding me. All of this was done to make more money and minimize any effort after they have it. My guess now is they will never fix the horrid hacking in MW2 cause that alone will help sell the upcoming Black Ops Game.
I'm not gonna read all of that, but I can agree with you that Infinity Ward totally backstabbed us. No cheats my ass.. If Black Ops doesn't have dedicated servers then MW2 is going to be last Call of Duty game of mine.
You know all the stuff you put in there can be summarized into one sentence. "Modern Warfare cheated us PC Gamers". If you want you could even bullet point the reasons.
