Is anyone naive enough to believe that there will be equal, compelling and robust content on each of those worlds? That idiotic feature was likely aimed more for a PowerPoint slide deck to reassure investors to prevent them from selling their shares, justify the long delayed gestation and over budget development cycle and keep them distracted until the next earnings call than to truly be a value add for the game.

There are times I really REALLY despise the gaming industry.

Are they not just randomly generated within a strict set of parameters? At the end of the day, it will a short game padded with irrelevant side worlds.

BGS typically starts with a generated land mass, according to some documentary (prob Noclip).

It's a BGS open world game tho.... irrelevant side content is kinda the point to back up the exploration game play loop. Please don't tell me you like to rush the story in these games because Bethesda has such great narrative story telling 🤣

I'll take the journals left behind in a village that was overrun by aliens over whatever Bethesda has planned for a 'main story' any day.

@warmblur: I'm not one to discriminate against people for their physical appearance, but I am sorry: anyone that short with that much relative power has to have a Napoleon complex.

Great video, in either case.

I just never realized how short he is. No disrespect to the vertically challenged, but that dude is short.

I do believe every world will be unique. Will they be equally interesting? Definitely not. And there's nothing wrong with that.

Only a handful of planets - the major locations of the game where the main storyline will take place - will actually have a high enough percentage of attention to detail. All the rest will be more or less randomly generated planets to add scale and increase the scope of the world. Additional content for those players that want to sink in hundreds or even thousands of hours without technically visiting the exact same location.

Most of us will just ignore 95% of them.

Or you know because Bethesda fell a long time ago. . Consider The Outer Wilds.
