I am a little angry by capcom's decision to not only have sf 4 in arcades first but to only have it be in japan. I know what they are saying and yes chances are there it will be on consoles but from what I can tell I dont expect to be purchasing this games this year. The only reason I am angry is cause SF is the only fighting game I like I am not into fighting games like tekken and DOA. Thats just me though.

This is the first I've heard of this. I don't believe it's true, but if it is I am very disappointed. :(

This would be extremely dissapointing if this is true but seriously, who would rather play Street Fighter 4 on a console over a arcade?

Arcades are pretty much dead where I live, so /shrug.

It is an issue for tournament players, but not that big a deal, I think.

there are no arcades in america so why would they release the arcades here. arcades in america will still have import versions, but only the hardest of the hardcore arcades, (usually the ones where pros play) and im sure it will come out in america once it goes to consoles.

Aside from your occassional Dave and Busters here and there, why in the world would Capcom waste their time and money towards arcades when it is already considered dead in the States?

Sorry for you purists but life is ..you know life.

Well I don't know about you guys in America but over here (uk) arcades are pretty much dead, unsurprisingly given the fact there are hardly any new games and how expensive they are.

I'm not saying they should bring arcades to the U.S. Im saying why are they bringing it to the arcades in the first place when their are way more console gamers than arcade gamers.

Hell, the only "arcades" I know of within reasonable driving distance (and that means bowling alleys!), the newest machines there are Virtua Fighter 3!!!!

I don't really care since I suck at those games ;) I completely understand them not bringing them to NA arcades......heck I don't know if there are any NA arcades anymore. It'll eventually come to the consoles anyway.

Screw the purists. PS2 has many 'pure' SF games, so they can stick to those if they want the same old thing over and over.
