Throughout the years, nobody what anyone did, had the power to take down Sony.
Sega couldn't do it. Nintendo couldn't do it. Even Microsoft couldn't do it. Sony was flying high and being the seemingly invincible company that it is. But during the past eleven months of the release of the "heir to the throne", the PS3, numerous plagues had befallen the console and brand. Starting off, up until now, what PS3 game did Sony had in their lineup to combat their enemies? Resistance? Lair? Heavenly Sword? Ninja, please. These are the best that Sony had to offer, and they're mediocre at best. Even the PSP has a better year than the PS3.
Three price cuts and two versions discontinued in the first eleven months, killing off the backwards-compatibility feature, and we haven't reached the one-year mark!! That, boys and girls, is what you call PANIC. Batten down the hatches!!
See in the end, the only entity that could take the Sony empire crashing down, was none other than Sony themselves. And they have no-one to thank for losing this war but Sony.
