dark cloud was one of my favourite childhood ps2 games, addictive gameplay

dark chronicle/dark cloud 2 was also pretty enjoyable

Try Champions of Norrath, but NOT the sequel.

Try .hack too.

go for Dragon Quest VIII!! and i'd recommend persona 3:FES.angelic

hehe of cours this 2 games are the best you can get

Good list of games you have listed. I love the grandia games those where so much fun. Maybe when I have the money I will play the wild arms game never played one before. The same with the tales games.

Well I know it's rare, but the one I saw must of been unopened or something..

Shadow Hearts: Covenant (hilarious AND awesome).

Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 (if you don't mind dungeon grinding).

From all the RPG's on PS2 i've played, i'd reccomend the following:

Final Fantasy X - Final Fantasy X2 - Star Ocean Till The End of Time - Final Fantasy XII - Dragon Quest VIII

Somebody mentioned Dark Cloud earlier and I'd just like to say that (in my opinion) Dark Cloud is terrible. It's got some great ideas going for it, but actual gameplay is rather dull.

The Xenosaga series, Final Fantasy X.

Final Fantasy XII is a great game but very frustrating and for the hardcore.

Persona 3: FES, Grandia 1 and 2, Final Fantasy Series and Disgaea 1 and 2.

That's all that comes to my head.

I own or have owned all these games in the past and have beaten them all and gotten everything possible out of them, and I have to say that they are some of the greatest, most addictive games in existence.

If you've got time and some cash to burn, I suggest looking for Chrono Cross and Legend of Dragoon (they're both PSO games, but they're obviously compatible still); they are both incredible and incredibly innovative and beautiful games.

azure dreams-a game that is a mix of pokemon and dungeon crawler that isn't a game for everyone and is never really great but somehow interesting enough to try and play for hours and hours

legend of legaia: an average rpg that somehow manages to be entertaining
