Silent Hill Story Wise

Which Silent Hill do you think is the best story wise.....for me I have to go with silent hill 2.

I agree, the story in Silent Hill 2 is by far the best; in fact, it might be so good that the rest of the series feels a bit obsolete afterwards

Silent hill 2 of course. Not only it is the best in the series but it is the best story in video games.

1-3 all had the best story 4 was okay but everything after dear FUCKING god. maybe Silent HillS will get it back.

2 was the best by far, followed by 3 and then probably 1. Homecoming I thought actually had a halfway decent story in spite of being a pretty mediocre game. Origins was more like a traditional SH game but didn't really add much to the narrative. Shattered Memories was actually pretty cool for a re-imagining. I was expecting just a cheesy re-hash of 1 with better graphics but it was a pretty interesting alternate story take on the series. Downpour I never beat due to the various technical issues that plagued it even though I thought it was a much better game than Homecoming.

Silent Hill 2 and Shattered Memories are roughly equal I'd say.
