Should I buy Fallout4?

Here is the deal. Fallout 4 is 50% off on Playstation Store right now. I'm writing to ask if I should buy it. I played around 6 hours of Fallout 3 and I didn't really like it... The games that I like are: Minecraft, GTAV, BO3, Battlefield4, CSGO, Torchlight 2 and probably others that I don't remember at the moment. Please answer me quick because the sale ends tomorrow.

Personally I think it's great but if you didn't like FO3 what makes you think you'd like this one? They're very similar to each other.

I think it's an excellent game and well worth it at 50% off but it is very much like Fallout 3. There are some great new features such as being able to build settlements and the gunplay feels better but I'm not sure that that will enough for you given how you didn't enjoy Fallout 3.

Fallout 4 is baaaaaaad

I think Fallout 4 is a good game for what it does, fans just expected it to be the second coming. And it was just more Bethesda Fallout.

When compared to FO3;

is a far better looking world, with superior shooting mechanics

_at the cost of slightly dumbed-down RPG elements, and less exploration options (locked up houses).

All in all I would recommend looking up D00M over FO4 at anycase. Based on your preference.

I like it a lot, but it's a lot like FO3 as others have said. I would stay away if you didn't like FO3

If you did not enjoy Fallout 3, you definitely will not enjoy Fallout 4. Try New Vegas, instead, it's arguably the best of the "new" Fallouts, and it has some really great DLC on top of that.

Big fat no. The fact that you didn't like fallout 3 and those games you like... fallout 4 wouldn't be for you.

I traded in my copy of fallout 4 but then I was itching to play it so I re-bought it and I like the game but if you didn't like fallout 3 then you might not like fallout 4.

Anybody know if FO4 has a mod that enhances the dialogue or gives more RP elements? I enjoy NV for the rpg but hesitant to buy FO4 due to lack of RPG and narrative

Guys what about Witcher 3? I didn't like the first one (combat mechanics were bad in my opinion) but I am enjoying the second one... I would enjoy it more if I didn't lag (FML)

Yeah The Witcher 3 would be an excellent choice. The combat is very solid, there's a lot to do, story is pretty interesting, and the game looks and sounds great. I'd highly recommend it.

Yes - IMO TW3 is clearly based on the mechanics and stylings of TW2, while improving on them all in a positive way. It is "open world" though, which does change the vibe a bit - giving less clear "direction", so if you are prone to feeling aimless in open world games then you might prefer TW2. But based on your game tastes I don't think that's the case.

You said you didn't like Fallout 3 but are considering Fallout 4, maybe it would be helpful to say what you didn't like about it.

My favorite parts about Fallout 4 are the settlement building and the weapon customization..both of which I hear weren't in Fallout 3.

Why not try a rental first?Or buy used??

If you didn't like Fallout3 you won't like Fallout4 either. Don't waste your money.
