Remakes are a big thing nowadays. Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Final Fantasy VII and Medievil. Anyone have any really old games that you would love to see comeback? For me, I would kill to have a remake of the old SEGA Genesis game Rings of Power. The first real open world game for me and a wonderful adventure game to boot.

Chrono Cross is one that would be at the top of my remake/remaster wish list. Such a fantastic game and one I replayed not long ago but those PS1 era graphics have not aged well at all.

Max Payne in Rockstar's Rage in engine.

Honestly, there's so many. But ones that come to mind are:

Popolocrois: Even though it's highly unlikely because I think the company went under. The PSP game didn't sell very well in the western market. But, it's a hidden gem. That's the only one I've played and is available in English. The original PS1 JP only games are much better from what I've heard and there's much more content compared to stripped back PSP game. There's also the 3DS Story of Seasons Harvest Moon spin-off title but that really doesn't count. In 2017 there was a Popolocrois mobile game released in Japan. Not sure if it was successful though.

Sly Raccoon: It's been a little while since we've seen a new Sly game. Thieves in time was great in my opinion. It's possible that the company who produced that game would end up producing the remake as well. (Btw, I haven't heard any news on the feature film either. It's been in production for a long time now.) If anything though I'd say we'd see a remake trilogy of some sort come around after the movie is released.

Klonoa: I played the Wii remake. But it didn't sell well enough in order to make a sequel. I think it's also pretty unlikely we'll ever see another Klonoa game again because I think Namco did away with the franchise.

Fur Fighters, it was game made in 2000. I would like see a remake with modern tech and maybe a couple of new Fur Fighters games down the line. I think I originally bought the game cause the cover looked cool(I was little kid back then). It was a stuffed raccoon with two pistols with a bunch of cotton sticking out.

Panzer Dragoon Saga
Darklands
Morrowind
Sonic R
Phantasy Star
Final Fantasy II

Some of these would be incredibly difficult to pull off properly, and/or aren't games that would see much attention of any kind from their publishers, let alone full remakes, in today's gaming landscape. I think the first three on my list are already incredible games, while the last three I don't enjoy that much.

Nah dood, it was a remake. As someone who owned NG: Black on Xbox and then had NG: Sigma on PS3.

They have many enemy placement changes, new weapon types (Dragon Claw, Dual Katanas), changed how charged attacks work, completely new graphics engine, new enemy types, new levels, new playable character, and much of the map layout has also been altered because the PS3 remake removed a lot of the puzzles from the original versions.

Remaster is a port, a straight-up port with a HD filter slapped over it.

You was lied to. Or you got confused by how Team Ninja handled the project. Sigma became a contracted exclusive for Sony consoles in a similar way to the old Resident Evil Remake for Gamecube/ Nintendo. Xbox One has NG:B up resolutioned but still looks like a 128-bit generation game.

And I doubt they'll keep remaking the game that is already in HD and completely reworked, heck we many never get a sequel for how bad NG3 was.

Sigma is a fine remake to Black and in nice slick HD graphics. They'll just port Sigma (again) at some point when the contract expires with them and put it on ever system.

That's my guess anyway.

@RSM-HQ: I'm not trying to start a fight but my post wasn't attacking you on your prefer console version. You took it personal so we'll just go ahead and move on.

Didn't take anything personal, don't be so dramatic.

However stating you like a game solely for what system it's on is obtuse, and you got a reply reflecting that.

Both Black and Sigma are great versions of Ninja Gaiden. But the remake is on PlayStation, that's factual. If you read above I think it would have benefited Team Ninja more if they put it on everything they could, instead of contracting an exclusive deal.

The Remake is frankly underrated, and that's a shame.
