I was thinking of picking up Destiny 2, since Bungie is revamping it instead of making a Destiny 3.

Is it possible to start playing a game like that 4 years in? Or, is there another more recent "Destiny-like" game?

Thanks!

I tried to but decided I had missed too much of the story.

Also, I was disappointed by how little of the game is actually solo’able, despite lots of people saying a big chunk of it is.

All the campaigns can be played solo.

Well, could... Bungie decided last fall that the game had too much content, and removed well over half of it.

Personally, i think it's a terrible time to get started. There is very little for you to do on the free side of things and Bungie is somehow still selling expansions that had their content removed.

They also remove weapons for some reason. Super scummy.

There are so many good games coming out so frequently.

Invest your time elsewhere.
