Specifically games like "Fire Emblem" or "Final Fantasy Tatics" with a grid based movement. if possible i'd like games on the xbox 360 or xbox one. but i'm open to suggestions.

@atrocity66: It's not on Xbox but do you know of the series that started on the PS2 called Makai Senki Disgaea (or just Disgaea in most regions)?

Even though it's a franchise known to be on Playstation hardware it's also on P.C. (though not recommended if you have access to the other options, bad ports),

D5 will be on the Switch soon,

and one on the DS which can be played on 3DS.

It's a lot like Tactics and Fire Emblem. But personally I prefer Disgaea, it has more replay value and the humor is very good and comical.

The most mainstream game you'll find in the series is also regarded the most open to newcomers, and having the best plot. The origianl; Disgaea: Hour of Darkness_

Ragnarok Tactics is insanely challenging if you're interested. It's a PSP title.
