PS5/XSX | What Are You Playing At Launch?

Considering that both new console are ~1 month away, I was wondering what everyone’s day 1 launch is going to look like? I’m picking up a PS5 myself — and likely sticking to one console this generation (though, Xbox Series S is very tempting).

My launch line up is going to look like the following —

1. Demon‘s Souls
2. Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales
3. Astro’s Playroom

I’m also looking into picking up Devil May Cry V: Special Edition but I might hold off until I finish some other games. I’m also holding off on CyberPunk 2077 until the PS5/XSX next generation updates come, same with The Witcher 3.

I also have a number of PS4 games I need to complete, so I’ll likely try to get through what I can until November and finish whatever else I have left on the PS5. Days Gone, Dragon Quest XI, Spyro: Year of the Dragon, and Metal Gear Solid V. I’m assuming that PS5 will offer updated performance/visuals for some PS4 games, so hopefully Ghost of Tsushima (currently playing) and The Last of Us Part II are part of those updates.

There’s also some PS4 games I haven’t played yet like Persona 5 Royale, which I’d like to play on PS5.

Don't even know or care, all I know is that a week after Cyberpunk is out and I'm going to take my sweet time with it.

Demon's Souls is all I care about right now. I don't need anything else for a few months after that. Demon's Souls as a launch title sealed the deal.

Demon's Souls and probably PS4 games, am curious how Monster Hunter World: Iceborne will perform.

Everyone who defended The Witcher III during zeitgeist phase stated it plays much better stable and at a higher framerate on P.C. going as far as to compare its gameplay to Bloodborne. I had no reason to buy the game twice. So may borrow a friends copy and try on PS5, don't think it'll change my mind but I'll humor the idea of fanbois stating its gameplay was "perfection" at 60FPS. Seeing as I'm fairly certain framerate wasn't the issue to begin with.

I liked Devil May Cry 5, however Vergil, a musou mode, and raytracing isn't a sell for me. It's not exactly a free update either. I'll stick with the base game, seeing as it isn't my favorite DMC game anyhow and I bought it on two platforms.

Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart down the line, doesn't have a release so hardily a launch game. I imagine Spring 2021. And I'll be too busy with Monster Hunter: Rise at that point.

Not sure, I will only have a few days before CP2077 releases though, once that comes out then I imagine I will be hooked on that for a while.

Really REALLY looking forward to Halo Infinite, Forza 8/Horizon 5, and Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Ratchet and Clank and Spider-Man for me. I will probably download a few PS4 games as well.

Xbox: AC Valhalla, Yazuka 7 and possibly dirt 5.

I probably won't get the PS5 at launch, but interested in Ratchet & Clank and Kena: Bridge of Spirits.

I doubt i'll be playing anything..

Maybe and i mean maybe DemonSouls..

Framerate wasn't an issue.

I'm sure it will feel smoother

but no way in hell is 'smoother' gonna overwhelm the boredome we get from returning to a remastered game that we coulda replayed earlier had we wanted to...
