Playstation

You get Metal Gear, Spyro, Oddworld, I think that there's a Resident Evil. It's a great system. Xbox and Gamecube tie for second because they are both great.

Thats not a legacy system... and I'm waiting for a price drop before getting one as well :) Too many good legacy systems/games out there for MUCH less money for me to drop $400 on a new gaming system... 360 is doin me fine for current-gen :-D

I'm definitely considering it... even though my PS2 is backwards compat, there is indeed something so cool about being able to play games on the original system :-D

Saturn is by far the best system of all time, but many of its good games are expensive. Genesis would be the easiest system to build a great library for. Can't go wrong with PS1, either.

I don't see why you would get a PlayStation since I'm pretty sure ps2 is 100% backwards compatible, and most well known xbox games are compatible with the 360. I recommend upgrading a computer with a newer graphics card so you can play some of the pc exclusive games you may have missed.

since you have a ps2 and 360 there is no need for ps1 and xbox so go for the genesis because many games for it are good and if you get a saturn there are plenty to choose from but the games are really expensive except for a few exceptions and you have to import some games if you have to especially virtua fighter

ur 360 and ps2 are compatible with ps1 and xbox 1 games so those are useless, and if u have a wii its a lot cheaper to download vc genesis games, or better yet get the genesis compilation for 360 for 20 bucks. so id say out of the list you gave you should get a saturn. but i wouldnt personally get a saturn either. everythings overpriced and theres not too many must haves. if it were up to me id just take the money and spend it on retro stuff for the systems you have already youd be better off imo

Between a Playstation and a Saturn, I say get the Saturn because I doubt anyone would emulate the games on any current gen console and the fact that Sega Saturn games can only be played on the Sega Saturn. The Playstation can wait since the PS2 can play PS1 games.

The Mega Drive/Genesis is the best system in that poll, but there are so many collections available now and of course the Virtual Console mean that there are so many alternative means of playing its library.

I would say skip on a PS1 (seen as you alredy own a PS2) and buy a Saturn.

No point in a PS if you have a PS2 well there is for collectors point of view but you wont get any games you cant play on the PS2 I say the Saturn because you can find ports for old Genesis games everywhere just buy a Plug n Play lol where as a Saturn is probs more unique cause the only way you can play them is on that console

I would say Genesis given the backwards compatibility it had allot of good games and like others have said the games are usually pretty cheap.

racketboy.com check out their 2d fighter and shooters section if ya like that kind of stuff (its what the saturn excelled at) . if you're willing to fork out the cash i would say street fighter zero 3 as its the best version of the game there is.strikers 1945 1 and 2 ,donpachi, dodonpachi, shienryu, gunbird, cotton boomerang, gunbird, guardian force, battle garegga, batsugun, the game paradise, marvel super heroes vs street fighter, guardian heroes. these are all shooters sept the last two but its great arcade fun. and maybe at least delay final fight revenge as it got pretty bad reviews and is pretty expensive, street fighter zero 3 would be a better investment imo . enjoy your saturn and let us know what ya think when ya get it and some good games. btw did you get a japanese or u.s. version of the saturn, i ask because x-men vs street fighter has some issues with anything but a japanese saturn.

if you are into shmups i can help.. basically shmups and fighters are what i play on the saturn the most.

umm some of my fave shooters are.. batsugan, donpachi, dodonpatchi, gunbird, rayforce, layer section II (raystorm), radiant silvergun, shienryu, darius gaiden, thunderforce 5.

as for fighters.. urr. darkstalkers, vampire savior, vampire hunter, street fighter alpha. alpha 2. zero 3, x-men children of the atom, marvel super heroes, x-men vs. street fighter, marvel super heroes vs. street fighter (basically marvel vs. capcom), street fighter collection, fatal fury games, cyberbots full metal madness, waku waku 7, astra superstars.

there are loads more shmups and fighters.. but this could go on forever. .and lots of these will cost quite a bit.. some you can find pretty cheap on ebay though.

you will need a 4mb cart to play lots of the fighters aswell.. but you said you were getting one. action replay is the best bet.. as it allows import games to be played.

you should also try to get your hands on these other saturn games.. sega rally , so cheap.. panzer dragoon 1 and zwei, they sell for pretty cheap. guardian heroes, saturn bomberman, shining force 3. . only scenario 1 as the rest werent released outside of japan.. die hard arcade, dragon force, assualt suit leynos 2, rayman, astal and burning rangers..

and as ive now typed out a whole essay i will defo stop there.. hope that helped to some degree. laters
